The role of the Specialist Nurse for Looked after Children is to complete an Holistic Health Assessment for 16 to 18 year olds.
• Holistic Health Assessment
• Immunisations
• Health promotion
• Training for Residential staff i.e medication training
• Foster Carer training
• Joint working with the local authority
Visits will be completed face to face if possible. Personal Protection Equipment will be worn. Young people have a choice, if they prefer a telephone call or video call this can also be arranged. Venue and time will be arranged with the young person.
